Composite picture
  • NHCP does not have any members.
  • The Governing Body is the Trustees meeting.
  • New Trustees are generally appointed at the AGM.
  • NHCP does not employ any staff or make any payments to any Trustee.
  • AGM is an open meeting; any supporter can attend and participate; voting however is restricted to Trustees.
  • NHCP is supported by Methodist Wesley Guilds, Churches, Christian Guild Holidays, Association of Friends, voluntary organisations and individuals.
  • NHCP works closely with the Methodist World Church Office in Britain and with Methodist Church Nigeria (MCN) through the Secretary of Conference, his officers and medical advisers. This working partnership is essential in ensuring that grants are targeted where they are most needed and are used for the agreed specific purposes.
  • Whilst the grants go in the main to hospitals/clinics overseen by MCN, it is important to note that generally these are open to all Nigerians.
  • The objective is “to promote any charitable purpose, for the benefit of persons living in Nigeria, which will assist in providing particularly, but not exclusively, health care services and facilities”.
Further information is given in the Trustees’ Annual Reports particularly relating to activities, achievements and performance.
